Proximity Review Tour~~Proximity

Title: Proximity
Proximity Series- Book #1
By: M.A. George

Blurb-
Dr. Palta Capal would be a typical American career woman…if only she were human.

She has found her calling in this world as a physician. It’s an ideal outlet for her compassionate spirit...and unearthly healing powers.

Palta may spend her nights rereading Jane Austen novels, but she deliberately avoids pursuing her own love story. Human men — attractive as they may be — inevitably grow old and wither, leaving her to grieve in solitude. Frankly, no one has seemed worth the torment.

Enter Eric Moran, the intensely attractive and enigmatic new coworker on the scene. With his quiet confidence and warm smile, he manages to draw Palta’s attention. Little does she know that he, too, holds a secret…one that will propel them both into an escalating collision of two worlds.

***Kj's Review***
Palta is an alien who feels somewhat alone in life, she has no man because she doesn’t want them to get old without her. Then she meets Eric, whom she is completely drawn to without knowing why. She lives a very quiet life, spending time reading and being with her father and sister. What she doesn’t know is that Eric is hiding a secret too and that the secret will change her very existence. When she saves him from a fire in his lab she discovers that he has the same blood she does. When they finally all come together amazing facts come to light and Palta’s life begins to change.
This is a well written story of aliens who came to earth and live quietly among us. The story makes it so believable, you get drawn into the story immediately. I enjoyed it very much. I would like to thank MA George for the chance to read and review her book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good story.

About the Author-
M. A. George is part proud mother of two adorable children, part super top secret agent…Oops, probably just lost that job.

Writing is what keeps her up into the wee hours of the night.  Fortunately, she has a lot of energy (Read: caffeine is her friend).  She has a bit of an obsession with music (It does a fantastic job of tuning out rambunctious children while she attempts to focus).

She sincerely hopes people out there enjoy reading her work as much as she enjoys writing it.  And if anyone hears of work for a super top secret agent, she’s now available (Discretion guaranteed…).

Title- Illusions Begin
Series-A Mystic Seeker Novel ( #1)
By- N.L. Greene
Publication Date- January 16th, 2014

Blurb-
Katherine Rebecca has always done exactly what was expected of her.  Her prim and proper upbringing taught her the importance of family, sacrifice, and social stature.  She has followed in her parent’s footsteps, being trained and groomed daily almost from birth, to take over the family law firm.  It was never a question of IF she wanted to but WHEN she would take the reins of the company.  She worked rigorously toward that predetermined goal her entire life. She gave up friends, boyfriends, and an exciting social life in order to propel herself through school and college.  Katherine Rebecca strived to please her parents.  More than anything, she basked in their praise and approval.  But now, at 21 years old, she finds herself leading a life that is nothing like the life she imagined for herself.

Becky has always possessed a deep love of magic.  Ever since she was a small child she has been fascinated with magicians, illusions, mystery, and the vague hope that there was some sort of real magic in the world.  But this is a secret no one knows, or at least that’s what she thought.  Until one day Becky finds a mysterious business card in her pocket that leads her to an equally mysterious man.  He opens up a whole new world of possibilities to her, one with a tantalizing proposition that she never thought imaginable.

Could magic actually be real?

By- Jennifer Anne Davis
Publication Date- November 15th, 2103
Published By- Clean Teen Publishing

Blurb-
Within these pages lie kingdoms with castles and princes who fall in love with fair maidens, but make no mistake−this is no fairytale.

His father’s kingdom is on the brink of upheaval and at the center of it all is an ordinary girl who could be the key to its undoing. When faced with the ultimate choice, will he choose the girl he’s falling in love with or the kingdom he has sworn to protect?

An ordinary girl with an extraordinary past. All she wants is to be free. What she doesn’t realize is that freedom comes with a price she can’t afford to pay. She’s forced to accept the proposal of a prince she despises, even though her heart belongs to someone else . . . his brother.

Seventeen-year-old Rema lives in a brutal kingdom where travel between regions is forbidden, people are starving, and looking at someone the wrong way can mean death. Nineteen-year-old Darmik is the king’s son and Commander of the King’s Army. He spends his days roving the island, doing his father’s bidding and trying to maintain control over the people.

When a chance encounter throws Rema and Darmik together, they share an instantaneous connection, but any sort of relationship between them is strictly forbidden. Darmik’s brother, the Crown Prince, notices Darmik’s interest in Rema and, in a calculated, political move, blackmails her. Faced with an impossible choice, Rema is forced to sacrifice her heart in order to save her family.

As Rema is taken to the palace with the Crown Prince, Darmik confronts the growing rumor that a legitimate blood heir to the throne exists and is trying to overthrow Darmik’s family. In Darmik’s quest to hunt down and kill the threat, he discovers that nothing is as it seems. Locked in the king’s castle, Rema finds herself a key player in a massive power struggle. When Darmik shows up, she’s not sure if she can trust him. The line between friends, enemies, and loyalty becomes blurred. As truths are unlocked, Rema understands that she just might be the key to finding the rightful heir and restoring peace to the kingdom… if she can manage to stay alive long enough.

~~Kj's Review~~
Wow, what to say…I really didn’t expect the story I just read. It was without a doubt one of the best books I have read. I mean I read the blurb, and it sounded interesting, but good doesn’t begin to describe it. I will not even attempt to describe this story because my words cannot and will not do it justice. So here it is, go out buy this book, it’s a wonderfully written tale of castles, princes and intrigue. Oh yes, throw in mystery and romance too. It may end up on your favorites list also.

**Kj's Review**
Kale is checking into a kidnapping ring along with his friend Deacon. They pose as security for a factory where the owner’s daughter works. Sola is a pretty woman who gets to Kale, who fights it because of his love for Helene. When Sola and her friend get kidnapped it becomes very personal to Kale and he offers to buy Sola back. As all this happens he gets the call he has been waiting for, the next Arc has been found. Will Kale follow his heart or will he stay and make a new future with Sola?
I enjoyed this look into the past where Kale hasn’t yet met Ella. Sola was like a breath of fresh air, allowing Kale to show another side of himself. It was kind of strange to go back in time at this point of the series but I liked it. Inger does a wonderful job with this book as well. I am eager to read the next book, my anticipation is high.

~~Kj's Review~~
Katherine Elizabeth, we learn to know her as Becky, is enthralled by magic as a young child and never quite loses the love. Although she works as a lawyer in her father’s firm she still attends magic shows and learns all the tricks. After attending a magic show someone puts a business card in her pocket, and she starts noticing a mystery man hanging around. After being mugged she gets called to the local precinct where she meets Ethan, a hunky cop. As her life is suddenly turned upside down, can she believe in magic?
I wanted to read this as magic always calls my name. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book grabbed me right away, and I totally enjoyed the story. I did find at times the story seemed to be stilted, but that did not distract me from the storyline itself. I would definitely recommend this book, it was like a breath of fresh air to me. I am anxiously awaiting the next book, I can’t wait to see where the author takes it.
