Synopsis
Julie Preston is an artist. But her canvas isn’t paper or clay. It’s hair. She spends her days coloring, blow drying and styling her clients hair at the Razor’s Edge salon. Julie is also annoyed. She went out on a date and had a great time, gave the guy her number and the jerk never called.
So when he waltzes into the salon and sits down in her chair she briefly considers strangling him with the pink cape she fastens around his neck.
Too bad she can’t.
Blue Markson, the guy who never called, is a police officer so causing him bodily harm would be a first class ticket into the slammer. Just looking at him again makes Julie forget why she was mad in the first place, but she’s already learned that Blue is nothing but heartache. So when he starts coming around, acting like he hadn’t made her stare at the phone for days, she tries to brush him off.
Only…
Her life is about to blow up in her face, she’s about to get caught up in a sticky web of crime and the one guy who can help her is the one guy she vowed never to trust again.

Excerpt
I leaned back against my padded headboard and tried to calm my rolling stomach. As I sat there, trying not to barf a light sound caught my attention.             It was the closing of the front door.             I perked up, forgetting all about the fact I was suffering from an attack of an unsuspecting hangover.             Had I forgotten to lock the door? I never forgot to lock the door. But I was usually not running from my best friend.             Great.             The one time I don’t lock the damn door is the one time a burglar decides to come a calling.             Too bad for mister criminal I had a plan for something like this. I was the kind of girl that always had a plan.             I crept into the bathroom, being as quiet as I could and reached into the cabinet. I pulled out my weapons (hey, all the crap that women have to do to themselves to look good definitely qualify as weapons.) and gripped them closely to my chest with both hands.             My heart was beating so hard against my ribs that it actually hurt and I had to work to not gasp for breath. Catching my intruder by surprise was key to my plan.             Moving quickly through the dark I moved to the bedroom door, leaning against the wall and peering out into the darkened hallway. I could see the top of the stairs from where I stood, as well as the railing that ran alongside the hallway to keep someone from falling into the stairwell from upstairs.             Courtesy of the nightlight down in the entry way (it came in handy when I wanted a drink in the middle of the night) I saw a shadow move against the wall, the figure was large and distorted against the tall bare wall of the stairwell.             Up until that point I hadn’t been certain someone was in the house.             But now I couldn’t deny it.             There was a robber in my house.             He for sure had nefarious plans.             Too bad for him I had a really shitty night and wasn’t in the mood.             As his foot stepped on the bottom stairs I slinked out of the door and along the wall, keeping my eyes trained on the top of the stairs. He began climbing the stairs (I was very unimpressed with his quietness, or rather lack thereof.) and as he climbed I slipped along the wall, moving through the darkness until I was standing in the corner directly across from the top of the stairs.             I saw his shoulders appear as he continued upwards. He was wearing a dark coat and a dark hat… he was nothing but a large ominous shape in the night.             I swallowed, the sound of my saliva scraping down my dry throat made me wince and my palms were sweaty, causing me to tighten my grip on my weapons.

Cover Reveal~Riley

Genre:  New Adult Paranormal Romance
Expected Release Date:  Summer 2014

Synopsis:
The Operative:  Riley, a.k.a. The Doppelganger
Her Target:  a half-dragon bodyguard
Her Mission:  to infiltrate a group of sorcerers in South Dakota

Forget the fact Riley doesn’t have a soul or even a real body. As a magical construct, she is damn useful:  she can take any humanoid shape, she’s immune to magical fear, and nobody can read her mind. Perfect when her target is a telepathic half-dragon guarding an elite base.

But Dare isn’t the easy target she expected. He’s fierce. Loyal. Smart. And Stubborn. Facing off against one of the Usurper’s most trusted soldiers might be more than she bargained for.

Especially when her heart and her fate hang in the balance.

About The Authors:

Our adventure started with a camping trip and a bottle of whiskey. Apparently Rita is a scary monster, and TJ needed liquid courage to give her that first kiss.

When not fighting over who gets to read our favorite books first, we’re swapping kisses and movie quotes in the kitchen.

Together, we home-school our three girls, who keep us busy with art, science projects, books to read, dance classes, and walks about the park

Excerpt #4
Katalina’s PoV
Macayla growled and ran at me with the arm holding Demon outstretched. I felt every bit of the bastard sword’s length run through my stomach and come out of my back. I stopped and I looked at her with no sign of pain as she withdrew the weapon.
My body felt like it was on fire, but before a single drop of my blood had the chance to escape, the devastating wound had sealed itself shut without even the trace of a scar.
Macayla grinned like a child on Yule morning. “I’ve done it!”
She practically pranced as she looked over my heavily breathing, snarling form. I could not touch her in malice. She was my sire and I was her chyld. A chylder can never harm their sire. I was death and destruction to everyone else. However, Macayla, I could only obey. Though I would have loved nothing more than to act out the scenes running though my head right then.
“You, my dear Katalina, are perfection! Indestructible! A true immortal!” She cooed to me as she ran her hands over my rough fur which caused my body to involuntarily shudder and twitch.
I could feel the four new fangs as they formed. New weapons that would not only rip and tear, but pierce as well so that I would be able to drain my victims dry while I tore them apart. Two above, two below. I wanted nothing more than to test them out on my sire as I had done with my Howler to my Howler sire. Macayla had turned me into a thing of myths, a thing of nightmares. She had turned me into an abomination.

~~Kj's Review~~
As the story picks up again Ciardis is yet again always in trouble. She gets sent to train with someone who may stand a chance at getting her to control her powers instead of bumbling in all the time. Ciardis is upset that Sebastion is seemingly ignoring her for the most part, although the connection is still there. As she gets sent to the forest to help there, it seems that much is riding on her, can she do what she’s meant to do? As this book ends Ciardis finds that she has been being lied to all along, and now she feels she has no one on which she can depend.
I am as thrilled with this book as I was the first, and I love the way the story flows. I am drawn into the world that Ms. Edun creates willingly and am not thrilled when I had to come back out. Thank goodness there is more coming, as I am left wanting much more of this story I do recommend this series to anyone, it is a very interesting story and written very well.

The Courtlight Series~~Sworn To Raise

Title- Sworn to Raise
Series- Courtlight Series #1
By- Terah Edun
Genre- Young Adult, Fantasy, Coming of Age

Blurb-
Seventeen-year-old Ciardis has grown up in poverty, a cleaner in a small vale on the outskirts of the empire. But beneath her empire’s seemingly idyllic surface lies a hidden secret. Whispers of an inept crown Prince are growing ever louder—intensified by the five year anniversary of the soulbond initiations.

Amidst scandalous whispers, Ciardis finds herself chosen to train for the Companion’s Guild. She leaves her home and sets off on a personal journey to become a Court Companion. A position she’d never thought possible for a lowly servant to obtain, she must prove that she has the skills to attract a Patron.

But she must master those skills quickly. If the legends are true, only Ciardis can harness the power to raise a Prince in an Imperial Court sworn to bring him down.

This sensational series debut melds intricate storylines with remarkable characters and unforgettable magic. Sworn To Raise is ideal for fans of Kristin Cashore, Michelle Sagara, and Maria Snyder.

~~Kj's Review~~
Ciardis works in the laundry, is an orphan with nothing much to call her own. Meeting a Companion, she then decides to attempt to become one, and sets off on a remarkable journey of self-discovery. With more powers than she knew she had, she must learn to control them to help keep the Prince and herself alive. With every passing day Ciardis learns more, but can she control her temper and non-stop jumping into situations in time to help save that which needs saving?
When I downloaded this book to read I had no idea of what I was going to find, the blurb sounded interesting but would I like it? I found a complete treasure of a book, a breathtaking story which held my attention from the word go and kept me a willing captive from beginning to end. A master of words, Terah Edun creates a world from which you will not want to come back from, and the characters seem as real as the person sitting next to you. I recommend this book highly to all lovers of fantasy, from young to old, is a book for anyone.

Just a year ago, I thought I was an ordinary human, and I gave up everything on Earth to save the people I loved. I have become the Lenai of Emréiana, making me the heir to the Emréian throne. It also makes me in charge of defeating the Bremoir, a race that has been consuming other worlds. If I can’t stop them, the universe is doomed.
Then there is Aaronmon, my betrothed. We have only known each other for a year, but our bond is strong. It’s that bond that makes it hard to know my true feelings. While I think I am ready for the ceremony, I wonder if I really love him like I loved Kyle, my ex- boyfriend who was murdered.

But none of my feelings matter. In order to rule Emréiana, I must go through with the bonding ceremony. If I don’t, then I risk losing the right as heir and I’ll have no power in the war against the Bremoir. Nobody wants them defeated more than me.
