I really was excited to see a book based on Katie, she was just too central a figure not to know more about her, and where it was all going. I loved the fact she was hooking up with Brian too, he needed someone good for him and Katie is, in fact they are good for each other. I can see minor issues getting in the way as they develop their relationship but I love it. The disaster of Katie’s life was horrid but really needed as it broke Katie’s heart but showed her to cling to Brian for help. Of course…Roxie is a huge help too, you get the feeling that she and Chase were pulling for Brian.
I enjoyed this short little adventure into Katie and Brian’s life, made me want much, much more. Ruthi Kight does indeed know how to tell a spellbinding story, a story that pulls you in, makes you feel right along with the characters. I recommend this book highly, it’s a good book…don’t forget to read Knotted Roots also, as they go hand in hand. I am keeping my eyes on Ms. Kight as she has proven to me that she can hold my interest and want lots more. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Meet The Author
Ruthi Kight currently lives in her hometown of Columbia, SC, with her fiancé and five year old daughter. She has an unhealthy addiction to books, music, and chocolate, but not necessarily in that order. When her dream of being a rock star didn't work out, she focused on her other passion: writing. She is the author of Knotted Roots, a YA Coming of Age story, and is currently working on two other novels that are due out this year.
